Verified Breeding Stock Certification - COW or HEIFER
This Rose Gold Certificate is for cows or heifers who are BBR 80 - 84 and under 45" or are BBR 85-100 and 45.25" - 48". Verified Breeding Stock Certification is not offered for bulls. This Certification will verify if your cow or heifer very nearly meets the requirements for Registration but is either below BBR85 or over 45". If she's certified by PMJS a certificate will be mailed. This improves her value to others looking to work with PMJS and makes it easier for offspring to apply for registration with PMJS since the pedigree has been established. Certified animals will help increase genetic diversity, keeping the future of Mini Jerseys strong and healthy.
This purchase must be accompanied by the Waiver for Breeding Stock Certification online application.
Cattle applying for Certification must conform to Breed Standard and Policies. Please, contact us at Admin@PurebredMiniJerseys.com for help determining eligibility.
This Certification requires:
- Two full-body color pictures of the left and right sides
- AJCA Genomic Evaluation Report with Breed Based Representation (BBR)
- Genomic Inbreeding of 12.5% or less
- Height Verification Form for cattle over 3 years old
- Negative Dexter Cattle Bulldog Dwarfism/Chondro test
- Waiver for Breeding Stock Certification
Documentation needs to be sent to PMJS for all applicants within 30 days of application and before a Certificate will be mailed.
For BD1, either testing from both parents or a copy of testing can be provided for the animal being recorded. Purebred Mini Jersey Society may require BD2 or Miniature Zebu Dwarfism testing at our discretion. Test results can be emailed to Admin@PurebredMiniJersys.com.
Verified Breeding Stock Certification is not Registration in the PMJS Purebred Herd Book Registry.
